DESCRIPTION AND USES
RockSolid® Professional Decorative Chips are designed for use with Polycuramine® Professional Floor Coating to add color to the finished floor and help hide surface imperfections.
COVERAGE
Heavy Chip Pattern – Use 2½ lbs. per 250 sq. feet
Partial Chip Pattern – Use 1¼ lbs. per 250 sq. feet
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Do not mix Decorative Chips into the coating. They are to be broadcast onto the wet coating immediately after it has been applied. Work in sections. Keep the size of the working section appropriate to facilitate an even distribution of the chips. It is important that at least an 18" wet edge of resin, free of broadcast chips, be maintained throughout the installation to help insure a smooth final surface.
Immediately after completing the final roller passes, begin broadcasting the Decorative Chips onto the wet coating. Distribute the chips by tossing them up into the air above the coating in an underhand manner. This allows the chips to drop directly down onto the surface of the coating. Avoid slinging the chips onto the coating with a sidearm throw.
For a high gloss finish, topcoat the color chipped floor with Polycuramine Professional High Gloss Clear. The clear coat will also protect the Decorative Chips from wear. The application of the High Gloss Clear is strongly recommended if a heavy chip pattern is used.
