DESCRIPTION AND USES
Watco Teak Oil is specifically formulated to provide an Outstanding UV and moisture resistant finish for dense woods such as teak, rosewood or mahogany. Watco Teak Oil penetrates deep into wood pores to create the rich, warm glow of a hand-rubbed finish. Watco Teak Oil protects wood from within and will not chip, peel or wear away. Use to treat outdoor or indoor furniture and marine surfaces (above the water line) such as wood boat decks, cabinets and rails.
SURFACE PREPARATION
PREVIOUSLY FINISHED SURFACES
For best results, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of old finishes, dust, dirt, oils, or foreign matter. Old finishes in poor condition must be removed. Sand to obtain a smooth surface. Remove all sanding dust using a vacuum or cloth dampened with mineral spirits.
UNFINISHED SURFACE PREPARATION
Sand using 150-220 grit sandpaper and remove all sanding dust using a rag dampened with mineral spirits, or vacuum. If a filler or putty is used, make sure that it does not contain wax and allow enough time to dry thoroughly.

PRODUCT APPLICATION
APPLICATION TIPS
Protect surrounding areas with a solvent resistant drop cloth covered in newspaper around the work area in case of drips or spills. Protect eyes and skin, wear safety goggles and chemical resistant gloves.
Use adequate ventilation at all times. Apply only when the air and surface temperatures are above 55°F, and below 90°F. Slower dry times may result from applications on redwood, cedar, or woods with a high tannin and oil content or periods of high humidity and/or low temperatures. Do not thin. Test Watco Teak Oil in an inconspicuous area for color before completing project.
APPLICATION (Rag or Brush)
Thoroughly shake, stir or invert can several times before and during use. Flood on heavy application of Watco Teak Oil with brush, lint-free cloth, roller or spray, applying additional finish to area that absorb all the liquid. Allow finish to dry minimum of 30 minutes before re-coating. Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity may cause slower dry times. Apply additional coats every 15 minutes. Wipe surface thoroughly with a clean lint free cloth to remove excess oil from the surface. Allow finish to dry 8- 10 hours before light use.
