DESCRIPTION AND USES
Rust-O Spray Paint by Rust-Oleum is designed with the artist in mind. It is a highly pigmented lacquer that delivers clean lines, quick fills, and smooth shading. Spray from less than an inch away for thin lines or pull back for broad areas. Rust-O is ideal for painting concrete, brick, wood, metal, most plastic, canvas, wicker and more. It dries fast and resists sags and drips, giving you the freedom to work at the speed of your hand. The UV resistance helps keep your artwork colors from fading.
Donut ring indicates color of paint. Remove the smaller over cap for use; replace in between uses to prevent accidental spray.
TIP: Plastics made of polyethylene are manufactured in a way that may hinder maximum paint adhesion. Test paint in a hidden area first.
PRODUCT APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove loose paint and rust with wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy surfaces. Clean with soap and water, rinse and let dry.
APPLICATION
Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50-90ºF (10-32ºC) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Do not use on objects that may exceed 200ºF (93ºC) surface temperature. Do not apply to galvanized steel. Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist.
Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle, DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Greater variation in spray patterns can be obtained using our variety tip accessory pack 394191.
DRY & RECOAT
Dry and recoat times are based on 70-80°F (21-27°C) and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to the touch in 20 minutes, to handle in 1 hour and fully dry in 24 hours. Can be re-coated at any time.
CLEANUP
Wipe off tip before storing. Clean up wet paint with Xylol or mineral spirits. Throw away or recycle empty can in accordance with local laws. Do not burn or place in home trash compactor.
CLOGGING
Clean spray valve by turning can upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds.
