PRODUCT APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
To maintain Watco Butcher Block Oil + Stain nontoxicity and food safety, apply the finish over raw wood. Prepare the wood for finishing by sanding with #150 and #220 grit sandpaper in the direction of the grain.
Before applying oil, remove all grease, glue, or wax and vacuum all sanding dust and dirt.
APPLICATION
Watco Butcher Block Oil & Finish is a ready-to-use product. Do not thin. Use only at room temperature. Mix material thoroughly before application. Stir occasionally during use. Apply with a soft, clean cloth. Allow 6 hours dry time before re-coating. Prior to re-coating, lightly scuff sand with #400 grit sandpaper. Allow 72 hours prior to normal use. Hand wash surface prior to contact with food. DO NOT WASH IN DISHWASHER. If desired, use additional coats to build a finish. Do not apply over other finishes. When used on objects with small openings, such as canisters, proper drying may be inhibited when applied on interior surface.
CLEAN UP
Application tools or brushes should be cleaned with mineral spirits.
