ROCKSOLID® Garage Coat Issue-Yellowing
Description:
The coating has developed a yellow or amber hue. This will affect both clear and pigmented ROCKSOLID® coatings.
Cause:
ROCKSOLID Garage Floor Coating and ROCKSOLID Clear Coating products are intended for interior use only and will amber or yellow if exposed to excessive or repetitive UV.
Repair:
• Remove any dirt, grease or oil by cleaning with appropriate cleaning agent.
• Dull the surface using a diamond grinder or scuff sand the surface with coarse sandpaper (50-60 grit) and a pole sander. .
• Reapply coating per directions.
Prevention:
If applied to a garage floor, limit UV exposure to the floor by reducing the amount of time that the doors are left open. Apply shades or tinting over windows to limit UV light.
