Dry-erase board cleaners can be used to help remove ghosting or residue which may be left behind from repeated use of the dry-erase board. A cleaning sponge can be used as a last resort option to remove final traces of markings, however, it should be noted that this can dull the surface and potentially lead to future permanent ghosting in this area.
If cleaning does not resolve the issue, move to recoating.
