Rust Reformer brush-on - Topcoat timing

Dry times before painting over the Rust Reformer (8fl.oz. / 236mL) will vary depending on the product(s) used:

Oil-based, brush-on coatings: Allow 4 hours
Aerosols: Allow 3 days
Water-Based / Latex coatings: Water-based coatings can not be applied directly over Rust Reformer. Areas coated with Rust Reformer can be spot primed with an alkyd primer such as Zinsser Cover Stain, after 4 hours. A water-based topcoat can then be applied over the primer.
