PRODUCT APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
Prepare bare wood for staining by sanding in the direction of the grain. Begin with #120 grit sandpaper and progress through #150, #180 and #220 grits. Remove all sanding dust with a vacuum or clean rag dampened with mineral spirits.
APPLICATION
Stain Application on Bare Wood - Prior to staining bare wood, ensure filler is completely dry and has been sanded to a smooth and even finish. Apply stain following manufacturer’s directions. Allow stain to dry before top coating. Sand the filler smooth using #240 to #280 grit sandpaper before staining or top coating.
Application of Wood Filler - Knead tube well before using. Squeeze out a liberal amount of wood filler directly in crack or other defect. Using a plastic putty knife, spread filler evenly across surface and press firmly in place. Replace lid tightly after each use.
DRY TIME
Dry time of product depends on depth of scratch or repair. Most repairs will dry within 2 hours. If more than one filling is required, allow sufficient dry time between coats.
