DESCRIPTION AND USES

Rust-Oleum Specialty Vinyl Sprays restore color on vinyl and fabrics. This coating is ideal for car and boat seats, dashboards, upholstery, luggage, furniture, sports equipment and more. Specialty Vinyl Sprays feature an advanced spray system that allows you to spray at any angle, even upside down for those hard to reach areas. A comfort spray tip with a wider finger pad to reduce fatigue caused by continuous spraying.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area. Use when temperature is between 50-90 °F (10-32 °C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces, when heated, exceed 200 °F (93 °C). Do not apply to galvanized steel. Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry.

APPLICATION

Shake the can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle, DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Hold can upright 10-16” from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs. Do not use near open flame.

DRY & RECOAT

Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF (21 °C) and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to the touch in 10 minutes, to handle in 1 hour and is fully dry in 24 hours. Wait at least 6 hours before sitting or using a painted object.

CLEAN-UP

When finished spraying, clear spray valve by turning can upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds. Cleanup wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits. Properly discard empty container. Do not burn or place in home trash compactor.

CLOGGING

If the valve clogs, twist and pull off the spray tip and rinse in a solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object into the can's valve opening.
