DESCRIPTION AND USES
Zinsser Bulls Eye 2 Multi-Purpose Primer & Sealer is an interior-exterior water-based primer and sealer designed for application to any surface. It provides excellent hide and adhesion in a fast drying, low odor formulation. It has excellent flow properties, making it ideal for brush, roller or spray application and it is compatible with all architectural topcoats. Bulls Eye 2 Multi-purpose levels evenly to a flat, easy-to-sand finish. It is suitable for use under and over latex and oil-based paints and provides excellent enamel holdout on all types of wood.
Use Bulls Eye 2 Multi-Purpose to prime drywall, plaster, paneling, wood (including exterior plywood and T1-11), concrete, masonry, brick, stucco and trim. It is also suitable for clean galvanized or painted metal, glossy laminates and more. Bulls Eye 2 Multi-Purpose is ideal for blocking bright colors and patterns.
Bulls Eye 2 Multi-Purpose seals unpainted or porous surfaces, extending the coverage of topcoat paints. It is ideal for flat paints, new drywall, wood, masonry and concrete.

PRODUCT APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, dirt, excessive chalky material, grime, grease, oil, wax, mildew, wallpaper adhesive, or any contamination that may interfere with adhesion. If unsure of cleanliness, wash the surface with a low suds cleaning solution like ammonia or a TSP substitute. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. On exterior surfaces, remove unsound coatings, and sand any remaining paint film edges and exposed wood smooth. Kill and remove any mildew. Countersink exposed nail heads, spot prime and fill all nail holes and gouges with spackling compound. Wire brush rusty areas. Clean new galvanized metal with mineral spirits. Spot prime knots with Zinsser B-I-N Primer-Sealer. Block stains with Bulls Eye 1-2-3 ® before full-surface priming with Bulls Eye 2 Multi-Purpose.
APPLICATION
Apply only when air, material, and surface temperatures are between 50-90ºF (10-32ºC) and the relative humidity is below 85%. Thoroughly mix to ensure any settled pigment is redispersed before using. Apply with a synthetic (nylon, polyester or blend) bristle brush, roller, pad or airless sprayer. Follow manufacturer's instructions when using spray equipment. For airless spraying use a 0.017" tip at 2000 to 2500 psi. Wear NIOSH approved respirator and provide adequate ventilation.
THINNING
If thinning is necessary, add no more than 10 fluid ounces of clean water per gallon, mix thoroughly and apply a second coat.
TINTING
Bulls-Eye Multi-Purpose Primer & Sealer may be tinted with up to 2 ounces of universal colorant per gallon to improve topcoat hide. Shake or stir well before using.
DRY TIME
Dry times are based on 70°F and 50% relative humidity. Dries to the touch in 30 minutes, can be recoated in 1 hour. Full hardness develops in 7-10 days. Lower temperatures, higher humidity, and the addition of tint will prolong dry and cure time. Allow more time at cooler temperatures.
CLEAN-UP
Clean application tools with warm water and liquid detergent. Follow equipment manufacturer’s directions to clean spray equipment. Dispose of unused or unwanted product in accordance with local laws regulating water-based coatings.
LIMITATIONS
Bulls-Eye 2 Multi-Purpose is not recommended for applications to floors or decks or any surface subject to immersion or prolonged contact with water.
